Piotr Perski



Piotr Perski, 1971 – a Polish artist from Kalisz, has been living in Barcelona since 1998. He obtained his MA degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 1998-2000 as PhD student, he studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona with an initial grant from the Spanish Foreign Ministry and the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art. In 2017, he recieved a PhD at the University of Barcelona, The Faculty of Fine Arts. During his stay in Barcelona, he received grants from the Royal Talens, Mondariz Balneario Foundation, Ramón Llull Institute, and the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship in Poland. Currently, Perski works as a professor in Metafora Studio Arts and the Faculty of Fine Arts at The University of Barcelona.

Between 1995-2022, he has had 36 individual exhibitions. The most important ones were organized in Sala Pares(Barcelona), then in Zaragoza, Guadalajara, Logroño and Valencia. In Poland, the exhibitions were displayed in the Regional Museum in Kalisz, the Palace of Culture in Katowice, and in the Cervantes Institute in Cracow. In the United States, he installed the exhibitions in San Francisco and in the Polish Consulate of New York. In 2017, he travelled to Australia and had an individual exhibition in the Polish Club in Ashfield, Sydney.

He has participated in over 70 group exhibitions in Spain, Poland, Germany, Cyprus, Singapore, the USA and also in various international Spanish and Polish art competitions. His work can be found in the collections of the Polish Consulate in Barcelona, the Talens Collection, the Cultural Foundation Ibercaja Zaragoza, Geras Tousignant Gallery San Francisco, the University of Barcelona, the Cervantes Institute, Iluro Foundation Spain, the Nowosielski Foundation and the Polish Consulate in New York.
